Surcharges for Ocean Shipping
Below you will find a summary of all current surcharges that are applicable:
Fuel Adjustment Factor (FAF)
As from May 29, 2011 : new fuel surcharge : 515 US$ per 20ft and 1030 US$ per 40/45ft container.
Previous fuel surcharge was 450 US$ per 20ft and 900 US$ per 40/45ft container - effective until May 28, 2011.
Wharfage charges
U.S. Gulf Ports
Wharfage charges at U.S. Gulf ports, including Houston and New Orleans (Westbound and Eastbound).
Current charges are 35 US$ per 20ft, 50 US$ per 40ft and 65 US$ per 45ft container.
Effective since June 2007 and subject to change by the Port Authorities.
Hawaii
Current charges are 66 US$ per 20ft and 118,80 US$ per 40/45ft container.
Effective since July 1st 2010 till June 30th 2011 and subject to change by the Port Authorities.
As from July 1st 2011 new charges will be 75,90 US$ per 20ft and 136,62 US$ per 40/45ft container.

Primage charges
Westbound shipments from ports in Greece including Crete and Turkey to all U.S. ports.
Iraklion (Crete): 5 % on all BL charges (ocean freight and fuel).
Piraeus: 3 % on all BL charges (ocean freight and fuel).
Mersin, Izmir, Istanbul: 3 % on all BL charges (ocean freight and fuel).
Subject to change by the Port Authorities.
NAS - General Remark
In addition to being subject to this schedule of rates and services, shipments of cargo under this contract shall, except as otherwise expressly provided herein, be subject to all other charges, rules, regulations, terms and conditions published in the TAAFLO ET Tariff, FMC N° 6, in effect on the date of shipment, including, but not limited to, bunker adjustment factors, currency adjustment factors, surcharges, arbitraries, primage, wharfage and documentation and congestion surcharges. Services related to customs-ordered inspections, motorcycle clearance, alcoholic beverages clearance and/or duties or penalties are not included and will be billed back at cost.
The date of shipment shall be the date the cargo is received by the carrier or its agent.
